Verry good local food and the best Fiorentina steak in town! Nice atmosfere and good personal service. My friends and I had a four-course meal and wine that never seemed to end. A beautiful view of the surrounding The owner even let us be DJ for the night. It is a really nice environment to really relax with good food and friends. If you are lucky enough to have discovered the Emilia Romagna region and particularly Novafeltria, you will be especially lucky to find this hard to discover gem that is barely advertised and literally off the beaten path.

Go for the setting as much as for My Swiss husband always told me that the best Italian food is not found in restaurants but in homes. Now there are many great Italian restaurants, but Fuori Squadro takes home cooking so seriously that you are actually a guest in Chef Emiliano's home!

We have dined there as a couple, in a small group, and most recently as part of a large party of more than twenty people. Each time the quality of the meal was excellent and the service was attentive. Emiliano was an ebullient host.

Our banquet consisted of several courses and I hope I can remember them all. First local cheeses accompanied by tart fruit and red onion marmalades, just the right combination. Then tomato and fresh mozzarella, followed by two kinds of carpaccios. Two kinds of pastas: lasagna a little overcooked but a delicious sauce and tagliatelle. Then the meat course: sausages and pork ribs grilled along with fennel and radicchio.

After all that, we were thankful for a light dessert of strawberries and cream. The red and white wines were honest and good, which is all I can say as I am not a wine connoisseur. All in all, we have always enjoyed ourselves immensely at Fuori Squadro. It deserves to be better known.

Specifically, instead of treating each group separately, and analyzing raw scores, we can look only at the differences between the two measures (e. By subtracting the first score from the second for each subject and then analyzing only those "pure (paired) differences," we will exclude the entire part of the variation in our data set that results from unequal base levels of individual subjects.

This is precisely what is being done in the t-test for dependent samples, and, as compared to the t-test for independent samples, it always produces "better" results (i.

If these assumptions are clearly not met, then one of the nonparametric alternative tests should be used. Technically, we can apply the t-test for dependent samples to any two variables in our data set. However, applying this test will make very little sense if the values of the two variables in the data set are not logically and methodologically comparable. Following, is an example of a data set that can be analyzed using the t-test for dependent samples.

WCC before WCC after case 1 case 2 case 3 case 4 case 5. However, the t-test for dependent samples analysis is performed only on the paired differences"ignoring" the raw scores and their potential differentiation.

Thus, the size of this particular difference of 1 will be compared not to the differentiation of raw scores but to the differentiation of the individual difference scores, which is relatively small: 0. Compared to that variability, the difference of 1 is extremely large and can yield a highly significant t value. If there are more than two "correlated samples" (e.

The repeated measures ANOVA can be considered a generalization of the t-test for dependent samples and it offers various features that increase the overall sensitivity of the analysis. The breakdowns analysis calculates descriptive statistics and correlations for dependent variables in each of a number of groups defined by one or more grouping (independent) variables. In the following example data set (spreadsheet), the dependent variable WCC (White Cell Count) can be broken down by 2 independent variables: Gender (values: males and females), and Height (values: tall and short).

GENDER HEIGHT WCC case 1 case 2 case 3 case 4 case 5. The resulting breakdowns might look as follows (we are assuming that Gender was specified as the first independent variable, and Height as the second). For example, in the above example, you see the means for "all males" and "all females" but you do not see the means for "all tall subjects" and "all short subjects" which would have been produced had you specified independent variable Height as the first grouping variable rather than the second.

Statistical Tests in Breakdowns. If you are interested in differences concerning the means, then the appropriate test is the breakdowns one-way ANOVA (F test).

If you are interested in variation differences, then you should test for homogeneity of variances. Other Related Data Analysis Techniques. Although for exploratory data analysis, breakdowns can use more than one independent variable, the statistical procedures in breakdowns assume the existence of a single grouping factor (even if, in fact, the breakdown results from a combination of a number of grouping variables). Thus, those statistics do not reveal or even take into account any possible interactions between grouping variables in the design.

For example, there could be differences between the influence of one independent variable on the dependent variable at different levels of another independent variable (e.

You can explore such effects by examining breakdowns "visually," using different orders of independent variables, but the magnitude or significance of such effects cannot be estimated by the breakdown statistics.

Post-Hoc Comparisons of Means. Usually, after obtaining a statistically significant F test from the ANOVA, one wants to know which of the means contributed to the effect (i. One could of course perform a series of simple t-tests to compare all possible pairs of means. However, such a procedure would capitalize on chance. This means that the reported probability levels would actually overestimate the statistical significance of mean differences.

Without going into too much detail, suppose you took 20 samples of 10 random numbers each, and computed 20 means. Then, take the group (sample) with the highest mean and compare it with that of the lowest mean. The t-test for independent samples will test whether or not those two means are significantly different from each other, provided they were the only two samples taken. What an incredible job Nordic Visitor does.

We felt so spoilt because everything had been done for us. This was an incredible tour and I can't speak highly enough about the slick operation Nordic Visitor runs.

It was a wonderful tour through the stunning scenery of Norway, very well organized by Nordic Visitor. Already thinking of visiting the northern part of Norway (Nordkapp, Lofoten) at some stage in the future, if a self-drive option is available.

Petra was very quick to answer any questions I had before I left the US. The accommodations were great and I would stay in the same hotels again. Service was exceptional and the rooms great. Breakfast at the hotels had great variety. I am so happy to have beautiful memories of Norway.

She put our trip together perfectly and our entire visit from one country to the next was seamless. It could not have been any easier or well coordinated. My emails were responded to promptly and all my questions were answered thoroughly and with patience. I usually plan all my trips myself but it was so nice to let Irja know what I wanted and let her do all the tedious planning and booking.

It was really amazing and our trip completely lived up to our expectations. I feel like a spoiled traveler now because Irja took a lot of the travel planning headache away from me and she did a really great job. We really appreciated the complimentary upgrades too.

Just wanted to say we had a really lovely time on our 'grand tour' of the Highlands and Islands. We hadn't realised how many mountains Scotland had. And how beautiful the scenery. All our accommodation was great. Thanks for organising it. I booked this trip within 3 weeks of our arrival during the height of the summer season in Iceland. Since it was a self-driving tour, I was not sure if it would be worth it given the price. I did not have time to research nor to book hotels, nor did I know what was realistic as I had been able to research options.

With it all arranged by Margret Wendt, the stops highlighted and the book, it made it very easy to see many sights in a day and piece of mind to know we had a place to stay. From our first encounter with Margret, she captured all the details and requirements for us, which she summarized back in an email, then crafted a great tour on short notice.

We were able to spend our time touring and experiencing everything (12-14 hours each day) rather than on the internet researching and stress of trying to find accommodations.Joe Fortenbaugh is an expert at NFL, college football, fantasy, well sports in general.

And don't forget to call Helga at Nordic Visitor. They will work closely with you to make sure your trip is as memorable as ours.

From our pick up at the airport to renting a car, booking hotel rooms and suggesting sites that are not in the guide books, all transitions were seamless. We had an itinerary that we could use as is or go 'off script' and still experience what Iceland had to offer. We highly recommend them. The hotels were excellent. The meals at the hotels were also great.

A nice package giving us good hotel values and locations as well as Nordic Visitor's expertise on the best things to see. This was my second tour with Nordic Visitor. In 2014 I booked a tour of Iceland through Nordic Visitor, and that was also a very positive experience. I will definitely use Nordic Visitor again in all my future travels to Scandinavia. I enjoyed every place I stayed. Was made to feel welcome and staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions.

Everyone had stories to tell about their specific area which I found most enjoyable. I have travelled to many different parts of the world and Iceland is my new favorite destination largely due to the wonderful experience provided by Nordic Visitor and travel consultant Gudrun in particular.

Although I visited in an unusually cold and snowy May the beauty of Iceland and the warmth of the people will be in my heart forever. Thank you everyone for a glimpse into the life of an Icelander. I look forward to my next visit.

The facilities were just great. We were impressed with all accommodations and how smooth everything was.
